Privacy Policy
This next chapter is going to be very, very boring. But the law forces me to do so. And well... Here we go!
Let me make one thing very clear: I care about my personal data and I do not have any intention to collect more than the required minimum to run this service.
General
This website is build and operated by my own company called "Internethelden UG (haftungsbeschränkt)". You may find the details about this company in the imprint at http://web.simpli.test/legal/imprint.
The servers that are required to serve this fine website to you are located at the Hetzner Cloud Datacenters (EU-site only). You are invited to check their privacy statements at https://www.hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy.
IP address
Your IP-address is stored in the server's logfiles, which will be rotated after 24 hours. The reason for storing your IP-address is simple: You could be a criminal, who is trying to attack this website. In order to protect the webserver against these kinds of attacks, the IP-address is stored. If you are being blocked, the duration of this ban is also max. 24 hours. I trust in you, that you know you did wrong.
How do I get out?
Well. You can't. This is one of these things I really need to store in order to keep things up and running. But if you do not trust me and my webservers, you are free to use VPN or the TOR network.
Your email-address
If you decide to subscribe to my newsletter, I'll also store your email-address. The service that I am using is called mailcoach, which comes from the fine people of spatie, located in the Netherlands. Once you subscribe to my newsletter, you need to confirm this action by clicking a link, which is sent to you via email.
Of course, you are free to check out the privacy statement of mailcoach at https://mailcoach.app/privacy-policy.
How do I get out?
If you don't want to read my newsletter, you are free to unsubscribe anytime. Each newsletter contains an "unsubscribe"-link at the bottom of the mail.
Cookies
This site could use cookies, which I need for technical details like which language you are using or even for your own security like XSRF-token. This information is not shared with any third party services.
How do I get out?
You can't. You could delete those cookies, but it would make no sense at all.
But what about tracking??? Don't you need one of those consent-banners?
I don't like tracking, either. And I don't really like clicking away all those annoying consent banners. So I decided to use the privacy-friendly tracking tool the guys at usefathom.com created. They don't use cookies, they don't (want) to know who you are or what you usually prefer for dinner. They just want to count visitors.
Interesting, hm? Go and check out the privacy statement of the fine guys at https://usefathom.com/legal/privacy.
How do I get out?
As no personal data is being stored, you cannot delete those data. You might ask: "But what about DNT?". It is deprecated in most browsers, and it is not the best idea to use it anyway.
